In the winter of 2015, I mixed a live recording by Claudius Boch. The song is called Forest and is about a small forest. You can watch it on YouTube. It’s a beautiful song.

    gala der blasmusik

In 2009 I did a live recording of the Gala der Blasmusik in the Kino Kosmos in Berlin. Sadly the hard drive is broken. I would have loved to show you the recording of the Pirates of the Caribbean Soundtrack performed by a Brass Orchestra. It is quite the same as a string orchestra with a lot more power and attack.

I was FOH Engineer at the TV NOIR jubilee show at FESTSAAL KREUZBERG. I was totally stunned by the performances of Florian Ostertag, Alin Coen, Angelika Express and Sven van Thom. It was an awesome evening and here you can watch some of the show! Two of the songs I mixed were even published on the TV NOIR compilation.

During my training as a sound engineer, I regularly went to concerts to learn about the technology and process of live mixing. I was also a regular at the Duncker Club in Prenzlauer Berg. There, after the concert, I met the rockabilly band SLICK FITTY from the United States. They were on tour and had two more concerts to play in Berlin. I offered my services for practice purposes and made my first live recordings at Wild at Heart and Mad’n’Crazy. Funnily enough, I met Dirk, Bärbel, and Teddy at Mad’n’Crazy, and that’s how my journey as a FOH engineer began. This was followed by Schlachtrufe BRD at Casino and Punk and Disorderly at Metronom.
