LUISE’S LAST HOPE
It’s that time of the year again! We’ve filmed another episode of the series HORROR IM ODERBRUCH!
What’s special about this episode is that it’s all about fears! And this time, the script was followed by intensive research with numerous interviews and our own podcast (IM DUNKELN LEUCHTEND)!This time, I received extensive funding from the Federal Agency for Civic Education and was part of the MITEINANDER REDEN program. I would like to express my gratitude once again! As always, we were able to film and be creative for a week, and it was completely free for everyone who participated!

FIADRUS FLUVIUS – GOD OF THE ODER RIVER
In the fourth part of the series HORROR IM ODERBRUCH, we dealt with VIADRUS, the god of the Oder. The film was made as part of the Easter holiday program at Boberhaus Letschin and was financially supported by the Förderverein Bildungscampus Letschin e.V.. True to the horror film series, we once again tackled a difficult topic that we wanted to address in a humorous and accessible way: toxic masculinity.

LUISE’S AWAKENING
As in previous years, I once again worked as a media educator with children from the Oderbruch region to shoot the sequel to the series HORROR IM ODERBRUCH. The third part deals with a dark danger that seeks to seduce young people with energy drinks. And Luise awakens from her haunting. Creepiness and suspense are guaranteed! Once again, I wrote the script, mixed the film, and took care of the sound design.

ODZILLA
DAS MONSTER AUS DER ODER (2024)
Fish disaster August 2022 – The massive fish kill affected us all deeply and revealed various impacts on our everyday lives. Film and photography enthusiast Jürgen Keiper from the unDOKed e.V. association is a regular holiday guest in Kienitz and, while walking along the dike, had a brilliant idea to capture this issue on film!
IInspired by Tomoyuki Tanaka’s 1954 disaster film Gojira, a local monster created by a chemical accident was to terrorize the Oder River and terrify the residents!
In October 2023, filming took place at the Gasthof zum Hafen with young people from Letschin and the surrounding area. This was preceded by several workshops on choreography, costume design, sound and image design. In addition, the first drafts of the script were developed together with the kids, with everyone being asked about their personal feelings and moods being captured.
During our work, we relied heavily on local partners! A big thank you goes to Coworking Oderbruch, Kino Letschin, and Gasthof zum Hafen! Thank you so much for making us feel at home, allowing us to leave our mark, and giving us the space to be creative!
I am particularly pleased about the presentation of the results because this time I was able to focus on creative work, such as designing a monster costume, the accompanying sound design, and dramatic music…

LUISE’S REVENGE
The horror continues! In the winter of 2023, I wrote the script for the sequel to the series HORROR IM ODERBRUCH. Luise, the haunted boatwoman, encounters other witches from the Oderbruch to take bitter revenge on the young people. We shot the film in April, and the world premiere followed in May at the Letschin cinema! I also did the mixing and sound design as the soundtrack for the second part of the series.

In spring 2022, I wrote a screenplay for Konrad Gründler’s legend about the haunted boatwoman from Groß Neundorf. Together with young people from the Oderbruch region, we made our horror film during the Easter holidays! It is the debut of my series HORROR IM ODERBRUCH ,where I use regional legends and tales as inspiration for short films to teach young people about filmmaking with the help of the horror film medium.

In 2014, while studying social work, I worked part-time at the comX youth center in the Märkisches Viertel neighborhood. There was a small recording studio and youth radio station there, so we wrote a short story together and produced a binaural radio play. The radio play is in German.
