Here they are, the CARAMEL SONS. A Paris based Singer/Songwriter Duo who produced their first EP in the sugar-roof studio in Paris, which is actually their own flat in the 8th floor of a historical building. I did the mastering for this gem and trying to embrace that 70s Folk-Vintage-Vibe while maintaining modern dynamics and loudness. You can listen to and buy their EP on BANDCAMP.

jazz und mehr 2017
You never know in advance when something will take place for the last time. Unfortunately, this year’s festival was the last one on the island of Hiddensee. As FOH Engineer I was part of the festival team since 2010 and had a wonderful time working with those fantastic musicians! I also joined the festival two times myself, performing my own compositions back in 2015 and 2016. Price increases, logistics, and the loss of funding have made it impossible for us to continue holding the festival on the island. But it’s not all over! Starting next year, we will be moving to Klasdorf, and the festival will be renamed UMRANGIERT. Here are the artists who performed on the last JAZZ UND MEHR FESTIVAL: Zola Mennenöh, Berit Jung, Martina Gebhardt, Hanam, Salomea, Annette Wizisla & Band, Hallo Julia!, Kerstin Brokate, Peter Kuhz, Caminos Unemundos, Flamink, Rural Tableau, 2Gegen3, Freunde des vollen Mondes…

morscher groessenwahn
Leon is back with his new band KRYPTO KOSMETIK. Their first album was produced by Matthias Wagner and I did the mastering on this gem. The song “König Gutwill” is the first single of the LP which consists of 12 tracks. Shooting the music video was also fun! We went into the abandoned hospital in Neukölln which was demolished shortly after. You can listen to and buy the full album at bandcamp.

zeit
Inspired by my work as a live mixer at the Jazz und Mehr Festival on Hiddensee, I composed a song on the beach. It was written shortly after my first performance as a singer/songwriter at the festival and is about growing older and the passage of time. Enjoy it and please leave a like and subscribe:

stromausfall im comx
In 2014, while studying social work, I worked part-time at the comX youth center in the Märkisches Viertel neighborhood. There was a small recording studio and youth radio station there, so we wrote a short story together and produced a binaural radio play. The radio play is in German.
